Mishka Banuri:
Mishka Banuri is a 14 year old girl who lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mishka was born in Houston, Texas, and was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She is an equal rights advocate and has been awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Leadership Award by the University of Utah, and the Salt Lake Rotary ‘Service Above Self’ Award by Rotary International of Salt Lake City in 8th grade for her service. She enjoys playing the oboe and piano, theatre, running, surfing, and reading.
Kiyan Banuri:
Kiyan Banuri is a 14 year old boy who currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a proud “He For She”, a UN Women run program to promote gender equality. He has majorly contributed to a vigil for the Peshawar attack at the University of Utah, and has contributed to numerous other fundraisers, and service projects. He enjoys cello, theatre, piano, swimming, surfing, rowing, and track.
Ramis Banuri:
Ramis Banuri is a 13 year old boy who currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is a “He For She”, a UN Women run program to promote gender equality, and has strong beliefs of equality. He is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, which does service projects for the community. He was a nominee for the Salt Lake Rotary ‘Service Above Self’ Award by Rotary International of Salt Lake City in 6th Grade for his service and leadership. He has contributed to a candlelight vigil for the Peshawar massacre in December. He has helped raise funds along with his classmates for Syrian families who were troubled by the Syrian war. He enjoys playing guitar and piano.
