About the Campaign

This October, the Parliament of World Religions (POWR) is coming to Salt Lake City for their annual conference. It is the biggest and oldest interfaith movement in the world. I want to invite Malala to the Parliament of World Religions Conference this year because this conference has a Women’s Inaugural Assembly, where women will be able to address two main topics: the responsibility of the world’s religions to affirm women’s dignity and human rights, and share sources of religious and spiritual inspiration for women’s empowerment. I want Malala to address the women, and youth at the Conference, in hopes that she will inspire them just like she inspired me. One thing that I remember vividly while reading Malala’s book, there was a picture that she drew after she came back to Swat Valley. It was a picture of the 3 monolithic religion’s symbols together in a green field on a sunny day. She said that the picture showed the dream of interfaith harmony.

I would like to give Malala the chance of talking about interfaith and women so she can help work towards the dream that she had.
